“Honky Tonk Punk Rock infused with sexy sax…” is how Mike Spent from SPENT UNLIMITED described the single Late Night Heart off the EP of the same name by The Carvels NYC. This 3-song rocker was recorded at Shelter Island Studios in NYC, home to Bob Dylan’s The Cutting Edge and the Jeff Buckley Sessions.

The Carvels NYC is an east coast 5 piece fronted by the snarky, sarcastic stylings of Lynne Von Pang, the soulful “Exploding Sax” of special guest Danny Ray (Jesse Malin Band, Mad Juana) and rousing licks from veteran guitarist Brian Morgan. Bassist RB Korbet (Missing Foundation, King Missile), adds winsome backing vocals on her debut recording with The Carvels, while long time drummer Steve Pang keeps the kids dancing.

The single Late Night Heart made the Radio Indie Alliance Top 40 and hit #1 on the UK Independent the week of Nov 11, 2019 and has moved around a bit, however remained on the charts for the remainder of 2019. The video for Late Night Heart on Cherry Pie Pictures was the
#1 video November 2019 (KOR Japan Radio, Mike Rogers).

Along with Late Night Heart on side A is the fun and flirty Out On The Streets, and the B side track Bitter Pill is sure to go down smooth. All the artwork on the comic book, bubble gum styled gatefold, was hand drawn by Ms. Von Pang. She is responsible for the band artwork and style, which is whimsy and sexy, like
The Carvels sound.

The Carvels NYC recently welcomed tenor saxophonist Trevor Galvin into the fold, who will join them as 2020 kicks off, on a tour of Southern California (alongside label mates and friends The Hellflowers, Glitter Trash, Honeychain and Vicky & the Vengents).

“The Carvels NYC crank out a brand of rock n' roll that’s equal parts punk, garage rock and girl-group pop...” - Falling James Moreland, LA Weekly (May 05, 2019)
